Angie Ruth, DTR
Angie Ruth is a dietetic technician, registered (DTR), who graduated from Owen’s Community College with a degree in food and nutrition. DTRs are trained in food and nutrition and are an integral part of the health-care and food service management team. She started in the health-care system in 1994 before transitioning to community nutrition with the OSU Extension Office in Seneca County. Angie worked with the extension office for 8 years before transferring to the Women, Infants, & Children Program (WIC) in Seneca County. She joined the Sandusky County Health Department WIC Program in 2012. Besides being an integral part of WIC, Angie organizes nutrition education programs for the Infant Feeding Class, works as WIC’s Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and supervises the WIC Breastfeeding Peer Helper. For over 9 years, Angie has provided nutrition education services for WIC participants.
